Butterscotch Chip Butter Cake

Sometimes there's nothing better than a rich buttery cake. Chocolate cake is awesome, but one must appreciate the simplicity and softness of a vanilla flavored, moist butter cake.

I upped the awesomeness by adding some butterscotch chips. It touches every bite with sugary goodness.

Ingredient list:

-1.5 cups all-purpose flour
 -1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tsp baking powder 
 -1/2 cup butter
 -1 cup white sugar 
-2 eggs
-3/4 milk
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1 cup butterscotch chips

1) Mix together the flour, salt and baking powder.

2) In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the vanilla and eggs. When it's all well mixed, at the flour mixture and milk alternately, a little at a time. Stir until it's all well mixed.

3) Once you have a smooth batter, mix in the butterscotch chips.

4) Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line a 9 inch round pan with parchment paper. Fill the pan with the batter. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
